The A/V Club explains:

[I]n the movie, we learn that the further the heroes dive into a person’s subconscious–into a dream within a dream within a dream, and so on–the more slowed-down time becomes. So if composer Hans Zimmer is playing us a super-slowed-down version of “Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien,” then the implication is that we’re still submerged deep within the dream, far from the kick that will wake us up.

An interesting take on Inception as an allegory for filmmaking.

Note: Thanks for putting up with all my Inception claptrappery. Of course, if you haven’t seen it, you need to. This is one of the two or three movies released in a decade that need, that deserve, to be seen in theaters. On principle, I’ve never wanted to see a movie in theaters more than once, and I’m considering seeing this a third time. It’s that good. If you subscribe to the vote with your dollars theory, then go vote for this movie.

Sometime this week I’ll sit in front of a computer and drunkenly smash my self-important sausage fingers into the keys and create some kind of sequence of letters that eventually, poorly, spell out my own long-winded and thoroughly repetitive and unnecessary thoughts on this movie. Until then, you’ll have to deal with links to theories.

This is actually super interesting and, so far, my favorite interpretation of the film. The idea of the film’s entirety being an allegory for film-making is mind-blowing. The parallels are uncanny! Don’t read if you haven’t seen it and definitely read if you have.

Everything is in super-focus;

It does video only but every frame can be a photo

It has super-zoom so you can zoom in post-recording and the image would still look great and have high definition with little to no discernible image loss.

It looks like Apple made it … but that could be good or bad, so whatev to that one.

I want two. One to use, one to look at. JK - I’d use both.
